I travelled to Walker Books in London for the Branford Boase Award yesterday and had a fantastic time, catching up with my friends and fellow authors Phil Earle, Annabel Pitcher and Irfan Master. I also got to meet Gill Lewis and Lissa Evans.
This award is extra special because it not only recognises the talents of debut authors, it is also about praising their editors. So it was wonderful to be there with my editor Charlie Sheppard from Andersen Press.
